Why I left Dallas and moved to New York

So I have been getting questions on why I left Dallas a few weeks ago. Well I had the opportunity to take a leap of faith and join the 2017 Verizon Ad Fellows Program . Here is a link to the article released from the CMO of Verizon ( http://bit.ly/2y4eMPM ) .

The journey has been interesting so far in the #VZAdFellows program for the 3 weeks I have been in New York. But remember this is a marathon so this 8 month journey will include 4 different rotations at some of Verizon’s partnering agencies.

I have some short term goals and long terms goals that I hope to accomplish during this fellowship that will require laser focus to achieve.

I am a big believer in giving everyone a chance no matter where they are from , who they are or the color of their skin. One of the most exciting things is that this program is making it a point to put attention around diversity in the advertising industry. Verizon Ad Fellowship program has put me in front of some of the biggest thought leaders in the industry in just this small time frame and they all come from diverse walks of life. The only way I think companies can compete in 2017 is having people who Think , Act , and Live like the target audience, on their team.

During this fellowship I am joined with 19 other from across the United States with different backgrounds to put our mark on the advertising industry. As we go into our second week at our specific rotation, my team is comprised of 4 others who have been tasked with Weber Shandwick as the first rotation stop. Now , Weber Shandwick is one of the world’s leading global public relations firms and we are doing our rotation at the New York Office aka the HQ . I am a firm believer that to whom much is given much is required. Thanks again for everyone and their continued support and I am learning so much during this journey #VZAdfellows.
