The working style in 2017 has changed and it has become even more evident that a normal person works from 9–5 and then he/she works on passion projects that are from 7- 12 . It is said to be wealthy having multiple streams of income is encouraged.

Majority of my friends work their 40 -50 hours a week and then have a side hustle that helps them cover more bills or just allows them to just kick out there creative ideas. Many host events, start non profits, write blogs, create Youtube content, or even take steps to solve a problem in America. The key thing about this all is BALANCE!! I currently run a website theculturesupplier.com , host cultural events, interview celebrities, social media consulting and even created a National Holiday — #NationalGoalWritingDay. People always ask me how I do all of these things and still work a job in the similar field. I simply say it really requires Balance.

Speaking to your passion first! Give your passion projects and ideas the quality time they deserve. That means your days when you get off your 9–5 , you should be working out or knocking out your #Adulting task and then dedicate time to your passion. It does not have to be all night till the sun comes up but lay some kind of brick down towards your work. Of course there will be days you feel down and decide not to give time to your passion work, that is ok. The next day find time to change your scenery and give time to your work, your deserve to. God would not put it in your brain if He did not want you to develop it.

Your 9–5 is your angel investor into your 7–12 that will give you the life you know you deserve. But work for it. — M.Gilmore

Now the balancing act comes when you have to go to your 9–5 also known as your angel investor. You have to refocus your thinking about your working circumstance and look forward to taking that paycheck and reinvesting it into your passion , wisely of course. It is a balancing act! Don’t be afraid to talk about your passion projects at your job either. Share some of the things you do on the weekend! You never know who your current coworkers know or may need from you. I have seen plenty of times where someone is a speaker on the weekend or makes delicious cakes and once they told a few people at work they began getting booked and paid for what they were doing from 7–12 . It is amazing what happens when you speak up!

The balancing act of your 9–5 and your 7–12 is a tough one but this is what life is about. Living, balancing, fighting, giving , eating, praying and sleeping (haha) You have seen or heard about enough success stories so you know it is possible! #WhatGrowthLooksLike
